PECHA KUCHA BITCHEZ!

I'm still not totally clear on how to pronounce it but an amazing thing is happening in Dallas and we're all lucky and better off for it.

I was a PK virgin until attending volume III last night at the Dallas Center for Architecture and was BLOWN AWAY by the professionalism, quality and WOW factor of this amazing event.

Thanks to SJ and Brian for bringing it to us. If you're not at the next one, you are truly missing out on absolute greatness. The presentations are quick and brilliant and you are always left wanting to know more and feeling grateful that these talented and creative individuals are sharing a snapshot of their lives and work with you.

My friend and hero, Scott Horn talked about how you can create the type of community you want to participate in where ever you are and honored me by including a slide that spoke to the evolution of my involvement in the arts in Dallas, from my first solo show at the Magnolia Gallery, to my role in the birth of PHOTOPOLUS and COLLISION as well as my relationship with ArtCON. Scott is a ROCK STAR and I'm super proud to call him a pal (NEBRASKA REPRESENT!) Other friends presenting last night were Eddie Ruiz and Sean Springer - both total badasses.

below is the event and speaker detail cut from the eventbrite.
I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU to keep a look out for the next one and get your RSVP in quickly! I'm kicking myself for missing the first two. it's THAT good.
